How do I book my date?
Send a message through the contact form with your event date, location, and type of coverage. Once availability is confirmed, your date is secured after the required deposit is paid.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to secure your date.
Is the deposit refundable?
No. Deposits are non-refundable.
When is the remaining balance due?
The remaining balance is due on or before the event day.
Can I reschedule my event?
Rescheduling may be offered, subject to availability, if requested at least 30 days before the event.
What happens if I cancel my booking?
Deposits are non-refundable. If you need to make changes to your event plans, please contact JD Photolens as soon as possible to discuss available options.
When will I receive my photos or video?
Birthdays are typically delivered within 1 week. Weddings and quinceañeras are typically delivered within 1–2 weeks. If your package includes a highlight video, it is usually delivered within that same time frame.
How long will my private gallery stay online?
Your private gallery remains online for 60 days. Files are deleted after that period, so we strongly recommend downloading everything before the gallery expires.
Do you retouch the photos?
Yes. All final images are professionally edited for light, color, tone, and overall consistency. Minor natural retouching may also be applied when needed, such as temporary skin imperfections, small distractions, and subtle touch-ups that keep your appearance true to life. The goal is to deliver polished images while preserving your natural features and expressions.
Do you remove skin imperfections or blemishes?
Minor temporary imperfections may be softened or removed in a natural way when appropriate. The goal is to keep you looking like yourself, not to change your face or create an unrealistic result.
What kind of editing style do you use?
JD Photolens focuses on a warm, natural, and timeless editing style. Final images are edited for consistent color, light, tone, and overall presentation while keeping the real feeling of the day.
How many images will we receive?
The final number of delivered images depends on the event, the coverage time, and how the day unfolds. JD Photolens focuses on delivering a strong curated gallery rather than every frame taken.
Do you offer video coverage?
Yes. Photo-only, video-only, and photo + video coverage may be available depending on the event and package selected.
Do you offer engagement or pre-event sessions?
Yes. Engagement sessions and other add-ons may be available depending on your package and date.
Do you travel outside Rhode Island and Massachusetts?
Yes. Travel may be available depending on the event location. Contact us with your event details to confirm availability.
What happens if the weather changes?
Weather can affect timelines, lighting, and locations, especially for outdoor events. JD Photolens will always do its best to adapt and create beautiful results under the conditions available.
What if the church or venue has restrictions?
Some churches, venues, or officiants may limit movement, flash, positioning, or access during certain parts of the event. JD Photolens always works respectfully within those rules while capturing the best coverage possible.
What if the event runs late?
Event timelines can shift, especially during weddings and quinceañeras. Coverage is based on the package and hours booked, so it is always best to plan a realistic timeline in advance.
Can my photos or videos be shared online?
JD Photolens may showcase select images or videos in its portfolio or social media only with your prior consent.
Who owns the copyright?
Clients receive personal-use rights to their delivered photos and videos. Any commercial use requires a separate written agreement.
Can I add extra services later?
Add-ons such as extra coverage time or other custom services may be available depending on scheduling and availability. It is best to request them as early as possible.
Do I need to sign an agreement?
Yes. A signed agreement helps confirm the event details, services, and booking terms clearly for both sides.
